Traditional screed is used to build levels and falls; self-levelling compounds are generally for thinner smoothing or levelling applications. They are not interchangeable in every situation.

Useful where meaningful thickness, falls or robust build-up is required. The mix and curing must suit the application.

Self-levelling products

Designed for controlled thickness ranges and require suitable preparation and primer. Some are interior-only.
