Malta First-Time Buyer Property Grant for UCA, Older Vacant and Qualifying New Homes

A Ministry for Finance grant currently supports qualifying first-time buyers of UCA properties, certain older vacant properties and qualifying new properties. The current published window runs through 31 December 2026, so 2027 buyers must check whether it is extended or replaced.

Property information can change by product, building and scheme. For grants, finance and regulated work, verify current official terms before making a decision.

Current published amounts

Servizz.gov currently lists a maximum of €15,000 for qualifying property in Malta and €40,000 for qualifying property in Gozo within the published acquisition window.

The property category matters

The scheme is not a general grant for every first home. The property must fit one of the qualifying categories and the buyer must satisfy the conditions.

2027 warning

The current official page states a 2026 end date. Do not assume the same grant exists for a deed signed in 2027 without checking the latest official notice.
